Oba Adetunji Left Indelible Legacies - Makinde

A legal luminary turned community leader, Barrister (Chief) Olumuyiwa Makinde, the jagun Olubadan of Ibadan land has identified Late Oba Adetunji as a royal father that left indelible legacies with his people, which will continue to be in the memory of his people for long.

Speaking during an interview with a newshunt, he bared his mind as regards the life and time of the late monarch.

Excerpts:-

Q: How do you feel with the demise of the late Olubadan of Ibadan land?

A: We thank God for a life well spent because Baba is a man of peace and the custodian of the tradition of the people in Ibadanland; very accommodating and benevolent to his people.

His impact is immeasurable because he was able to make a positive impact on the life of the people and participated in making sure that Ibadan moves to an enviable height as the hallmark of African culture.

Late Oba Adetunji loves his people and chiefs and he organizes everybody to be focused in terms of making Ibadan a unique place in his lifetime.

Baba is a listening royal father and embrace everybody whether you are a Christian, Muslim, Hausa or Igbo, he was a father to everybody.

In terms of security, he organizes all the Mogaji's to provide a lasting solution to insecurity at the local angle.

Q: What is your message to the people of Ibadan?

A: The exit of Oba Adetunji is a great loss to the people of Ibadan. Although he died at a ripe age, when you have someone that is an embodiment of humanity and peace, you will not like him to go. The people of Ibadan are aware of the fact that yes, baba has gone but his positive legacies still lives with us forever.
